Aloe Vera and IBS

What is Aloe Vera?

Aloe Vera is a plant that evolved from the lilac family, on which garlic is also a member. Both possess great curative and nutritive properties.

How Does it Work?

Aloe contains a number of enzymes - those that aid in digestion (amylase and lipase) and those that are anti-inflammatory in nature.

One component of Aloe, aloin, is used as a laxative.

  1. It speeds up the transit time of the gut contents, as a result the stool becomes softer as it contains more water
  2. Protein absorption is increased
  3. Gut flora is regulated, especially where there is an overgrowth of the yeast Candida.

Aloe Improves the Quality of life!

What this means for IBS sufferers, is a new lease of life.

Food Intolerance Test: Why You Need It by Robert Harrison

Do you or someone you know suffer from irritable bowel syndrome? The symptoms from this condition can be very hard to live with. Sufferers know that pain and discomfort is a daily occurrence. What these sufferers don’t know, is that there may be something that they can do to help their own condition. Classic research has shown no real link between what we eat and IBS, but modern research is changing all of that.Breakthroughs in medical technology are enabling people to gain more insight into the illnesses we experience. Research is conducted on a daily basis, and new cures and treatments for a number of ailments are being found. Current research is under way to determine whether a true link exists between an irritable bowel and a possible allergy towards, or intolerance of, food.

In these studies scientists give a food intolerance test to a group of subjects with gastrointestinal (GI) disorders as well as to a group of control subjects who do not have GI problems. The studies show that the subjects with GI disorders have significantly more food intolerances than the control group subjects.

What is the best way to learn if intolerance is causing your IBS? A step in the right direction would be making an appointment to see your family physician. If a food intolerance test cannot be given by your primary care physician, then he should know to whom you should be sent. It may be difficult to convince your physician that you need a food intolerance test, since classic research does not demonstrate that there is a connection.

Bee Pollen- Forever Living Product - 100 Tablets

Bee Pollen

- Provides Energy, nutrition and stamina
- Aids Digestion
- can help alleviate allergy symptoms
- Beneficial to the prostate gland
- Multivitamin and multi-mineral supplement

Bee Pollen - especially for hay fever sufferers take about 6 weeks before the expected onset of symptoms. May reduce the effect and in some cases stop it completely!

What is Bee Pollen?

First it is important to separate Bee Pollen (entomophilic) from its close cousin which is airborne pollen (anemophilic), the latter being the pollen that causes Hay fever and other related allergies.

Bee Pollen is now being recognised by scientists throughout the world as a substance that can promote energy, help build resistance to ailments and boost the body’s natural healing powers by giving the immune system a shot in the arm.

Bee Pollen is the ultra fine powder that makes up the male element of the flower. Bees gather it in tiny amounts and store it in the hive for food.

The bees instinctively seek out the most nutritious pollen leaving poor quality pollen alone. Because bee pollen is a rich and balanced source of nutrients it was fed to several hundred animals over a two year period, no side effects were discovered but the pollen gave the animals increased vitality and improved their rate of reproduction due to boosted fertility.

Bee Pollen and Fertility

Bee Pollen stimulates the ovarian function. The intensity of ovulation increased. Several papers have been written in support of this research.

Clearly a woman who wishes for a child but is unable to conceive may well welcome a food that can increase ovulation thereby increasing her chances of becoming pregnant. She may also be pleased to realise that bee pollen improves the biological value of an egg when the diet of the mother includes natural hormones and the complete nutrition of bee pollen.
