Aloe Vera and IBS
What is Aloe Vera?
Aloe Vera is a plant that evolved from the lilac family, on which garlic is also a member. Both possess great curative and nutritive properties.
How Does it Work?
Aloe contains a number of enzymes - those that aid in digestion (amylase and lipase) and those that are anti-inflammatory in nature.
One component of Aloe, aloin, is used as a laxative.
- It speeds up the transit time of the gut contents, as a result the stool becomes softer as it contains more water
- Protein absorption is increased
- Gut flora is regulated, especially where there is an overgrowth of the yeast Candida.
Aloe Improves the Quality of life!
What this means for IBS sufferers, is a new lease of life.

Truely a miracle cure.
I am completely lethargic most days and a friend suggested I tried Aloe Vera. After 2 weeks of drinking the gel, I noticed my energy levels increased. Im loving it!!

As mentioned in the summary, the laxative property really helps. My constipation is very well controlled. I drink the gel twice a day.
