Acid Reflux. It’s one of the buzz words today. We see many ads for drugs that supposedly ‘cure’ this ‘excess’ acid. In reality, these drugs only mask the symptoms.

Here is the real cause of Acid Reflux: The body is not producing the right amount of acid for the foods that are in your stomach. For example, proteins (like steak, chicken, etc) need to be digested at a pH of ~1.0. [pH ranges from 1.0 to 14.0, where 1 is extremely acid and 14 is extremely alkaline. 7.0 is neutral.] Proteins digest best at a pH of 1.0; however, when the stomach is at a pH of 4.0, there isn’t enough acid to allow the enzymes that digest protein to work effectively. The is improper digestion. The foods can start to ferment, causing acidic bubbles that push up through the stomach and into the throat bringing the acidic stomach juices with them.

Digestrin Review

Digestrin is a food supplement which seeks to treat the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), a gastrointestinal disorder characterized by abdominal pain and changes in bowel habits. This article will discuss how the product supposedly treats IBS through what its manufacturers claim is a three-phase process.

Three-part action

Each phase is said to work on a specific aspect of IBS. The idea is to treat a specific set of symptoms at a time instead of trying to target everything at the same time. IBS is manifested by various symptoms and these may differ across specific body types. The three-phase system is said to work on all possible symptoms of the disorder to ensure its effectiveness.

Start at the root cause

Phase A of the Digestrin supplement treatment works on the brain and the nerves that cause gastric muscle spasms. These spasms cause cramping, constipation and swelling. Aside from regulating muscle contractions from the nerves, the first phase of the supplement also has calming effects that are supposed to combat stress. By acting on the nerves that cause the disorder, the supplement is said to work from the root of the problem. From there, the product shall continue its work, this time on the gastric tract through the second phase.

Symptoms

Acid indigestion, often called “heartburn,” is characterized by heaviness, bloating, dull stomach pain or heartburn after a meal.

Causes

Indigestion is caused by excess acids in the stomach and the intestines.  The excess acid is the result of poor eating habits.  Irregular meal times, eating too fast, eating too much, inadequate chewing, poor food combinations or eating when stressed or anxious can trigger indigestion following a meal.

Often the medical profession will prescribe antacids to neutralize the stomach acid of indigestion.  Ironically, this causes the stomach to secrete more acid so digestion can take place.

Prevention

The following suggestions may help prevent acid indigestion:

Women’s Health Supplement by Dwain

Women are more often afflicted by certain illnesses than men, including such problems as chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. Inflammation is a key problem in many of these disorders, so when a “new” health supplement product appears on the market claiming to treat the many related ailments it is cause for some investigation, if not outright celebration.

One of the latest health supplement discoveries, drawing on ancient remedies from Southeast Asia, is the Mangosteen fruit. An extremely potent source of antioxidants, many people have found that drinking this juice has helped them successfully stop taking a host of other medications for pain, inflammation, fatigue, depression, and more.
